Rule 131
Maternity leave
: (1) If a female armed police employee is pregnant, she will be entitled to take maternity leave for sixty days before and after delivery.
(2) According to sub-rule (1), armed police personnel who are on maternity leave will get full salary allowance and ration.
(3) Female armed police personnel who have taken maternity leave according to sub-rule (1) may take unpaid maternity leave for an additional three months without being deducted from any leave if they wish. When taking such leave, it should be taken consecutively with the leave as per sub-rule (1).
(4) The records of leave details as per sub-rules (1) and (3) shall be updated by the concerned office.
(5) According to sub-rule (3), the period spent on unpaid leave will be counted in the service period.
